John & Joyce, Real Estate Brokers, and owners of GMS Properties, have been assisting their clients with all their real estate needs since 1985. They have lived and worked in South Orange County since 1972 and are intimately familiar with the area homes and communities.
They spent the first seven years of their real estate careers at RE/MAX Real Estate and, on leaving RE/MAX were among the founding partners of Regency Real Estate Brokers. Both RE/MAX and Regency were located in Mission Viejo, California. In 1995 they realized that in order to provide the absolute best in service to their clients, they would have to divorce themselves from the corporate pressures of a large real estate company - GMS Properties is the result. GMS Properties is totally owned and operated by Joyce and John.
John -- originally educated as an Electrical Engineer (BSEE) and later receiving a Master's degree in Management and a Doctorate in Business Administration -- is proud of his military service as an officer in the U.S. Army; active duty during the Vietnam war years, reserve afterwards (where achieved the rank of Colonel) and has taught at the university level. He has written extensively on, and is a recognized expert in the field of real estate. In addition, he is a Certified Loan Broker.
Joyce -- BA Art History, is a veteran of the interior decorating industry and is a leader in community service in our area. She spent many years as a parent representative for the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program in the Saddleback Unified School District and was active in the Library and PTA support groups. She earned many awards for outstanding service, and has been featured in National Business Women's Week. Additionally, she is particularly proud of her record of assistance to the local community in several charitable fund raising campaigns.
